Braided Ceramic Fibre Rope is manufactured from either fibreglass or nickel chrome wire reinforced ceramic yarns which are braided over a ceramic core. The finished ropes offer exceptional insulation performance in applications reaching 1200ºC whilst simultaneously being able to withstand a wide range of chemicals (with the exceptions of phosphoric acid, fluorhydric acid and strong bases). AG’s braided ceramic ropes are available by both the metre and by the roll in sizes ranging from 6mm through to 100mm diameter. These mechanically reinforced, high performance insulation materials are used in a variety of applications which include flue duct seals, pipe lagging and furnace and boiler insulation.
