3M 2308 Performance Masking Tape is a high quality grade of masking tape manufactured from a combination of crepe paper and a rubber based, pressure-sensitive adhesive. This high performance grade exhibits excellent reliability and is very easy to use thanks to its minimal elongation and good holding power which resists lifting or curling. In addition to these features, 3M 2308 Performance Masking Tape has a controlled unwind, can be torn by hand whilst still dispensing evenly and not tearing prematurely so that it can be used on paper dispensers. The rubber adhesive used on 3M 2308 Performance Masking Tape offers instant adhesion (adhesion to steel is 38 N / 100mm) while the tape itself has good conformability characteristics which allows it to be formed around corners. The natural coloured crepe paper backing exhibits good paint hold-out and resists bleed-through. One word of warning though, if this tape is left for extended periods outside it may become difficult to remove. 3M 2308 Performance Masking Tape is used for a variety of holding, bundling, sealing and general paint masking applications that require a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape. It is use in temperatures up to 121ºC (for no more than 30 minutes). Available Sizes Standard rolls of 3M 2308 Performance Masking Tape are 0.13mm thick and 55mtrs long.
